Miss Wing Queen 154 Report post Posted November 12, 2011 ...nice to see the Red Wings supporting movember....wtf? Are they too good for the cause? Actually, quite a few of the guys are: Zetterberg, Franzen, Commodore, Conklin, Emmerton, White, and Kronwall are (although some are "lighter" than others). Kronwall is not. Franzen is not. I do see a few others, but mostly lower tier players....

Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted November 12, 2011 We haven't looked too bad. The officiating has been fair. We've been able to keep Hall, Eberle, and Nugent-Hopkins quiet. Also, I don't like Abdelkader's chances against Peckham, but I'd love to be proved wrong.
P. Marlowe 748 Report post Posted November 12, 2011 Why the hell isnt Commodore playing? Because Oilers are fast and Kindl is faster than Commodore. Actually, quite a few of the guys are: Zetterberg, Franzen, Commodore, Conklin, Emmerton, White, and Kronwall are (although some are "lighter" than others). I haven't been following so could someone explain me what is "Movember"? What is being achieved from hockey players growing moustaches (aside from goodlooking fellas)? I know that Jonas Hiller is going to auction his new mask. Are players also going to shave and auction their moustaches?

Are players also going to shave and auction their moustaches? It is to increase awareness of Prostate cancer and other male cancers. It is similar to wearing pink for breast cancer awareness. Both are tied to research fundraising as well. Edit: I've got my movember stache going. Anyone else? Edited November 12, 2011 by WorkingOvertime

Zetts 236 Report post Posted November 12, 2011 (edited) I haven't been following so could someone explain me what is "Movember"? What is being achieved from hockey players growing moustaches (aside from goodlooking fellas)? I know that Jonas Hiller is going to auction his new mask. Are players also going to shave and auction their moustaches? That is one creepy thought. Wouldn't it be fitting if players auctioned their cups? ...as is that. Usually you donate to someone to grow out their moustache for the month. As was mentioned above, the money goes towards prostate cancer research. You can donate at www.movember.com/.
