That was gross..totally outworked especially on the PP, they were better then us..end of story. Does anyone think that maybe Cleary is hurt because he looked like dog s*** out there.

LGW after 1 loss is irrational, after a few in a row it becomes quite comical, 22 playoff appearances in a row and 4 cups in that time and still going strong. Relaxxxxx !!

One shot in 14 minutes.....ho.lee.s***.

Yep, says all that needs to be said about tonight's effort. That and "season low in shots on goal". See you all for next game.

It would be refreshing to see a local beat writer ask Babcock, "The team didn't seem to even show up today. Why is that, Mike?"

Officials favored the Wings tonight, the PP was a joke, Blues outplayed the crap out of this team surprised it wasn't 5-1.

Laughable effort, Commodore needs to be out put Smith in next game.

Very flattering that the wings sent a scout down to our Aussie over-35s beer league and chose to model their power play on ours. Kind of wish they didn't...

(Would like to have popped my posting cherry on a more positive night, but the first one's always a bit of a let down right?)

THat was the worst game I have ever seen the Wings play. I have seen them get scored on 10 times before, but they had NO TEMPO this game at all. It took Mike Babcock until the last 5 minutes of the game to finally change up the lines... I call that bad coaching. The problem tonight was coaching, the along with players not showing up. If Babcock has Cleary penciled in to play with Pavs next game, his ass should be fired. We cannot have Pavs have like 2 points in 6 games like this so time for some GOOD lines for next game.

Zetterberg- Datsyuk- Franzen
Cleary- Filpulla- Hudler

I feel like such a bad Red Wings fan. I only caught the 3rd period, and we looked sluggish, at best. Missed the Stewart hit on Kronwall. Power play was 0 for 6?

Wow. I didn't expect St. Louis to outplay us so badly. Good for them that Hitchcock seems to have lit a fire under their asses, but Lord I despise that man. And the Blues fans - well, let's just say if they all fell off the face of the earth, the world would be a much nicer place.

Now, what to do to dispel the ennui the Wings seem to be suffering from?
Can't wait to read the "Phoenix: I still think it's a hockey market" chapter of Gary Bettman's autobiography. I'm guessing it's going to be chapter 11.

Pathetic performance to say the least... You can't continue to put Datsyuk on a line with the 2 players on the team with THE WORST HANDS! Babcock is shutting Datsyuk down by himself.

I really want the Wings to make a trade for Brian Boyle(NYR), Hudler and a 2nd rounder would do it i think.

I'll second this. Boyle's turned into a decent all-around player since arriving in New York.

He rewarded his hardest working players with PP time. How is that a bad move?

Not at all, except for Hudler and Kindl on the point...Reward those three for sure, but cripple them with Hudler and Kindl... Heck I am all for playing Helm's line in the top spot...

Am I the only one who finds it strange that Hudler is getting the majority of the scorn right now considering the performance of Datsyuk and Zetterberg?

I'll admit that Cleary and Hudler have been terrible. But where are the leaders on forward? Franzen seems to be our go to guy now and he takes off nights, so how can this team stay competitive when we have two stars who aren't playing like it and a goal scorer who is taking on a role he shouldn't be taking?
