One shot in 14 minutes.....ho.lee.s***.
Yep, says all that needs to be said about tonight's effort. That and "season low in shots on goal". See you all for next game.

(Would like to have popped my posting cherry on a more positive night, but the first one's always a bit of a let down right?)

Now, what to do to dispel the ennui the Wings seem to be suffering from?

I'll second this. Boyle's turned into a decent all-around player since arriving in New York.I really want the Wings to make a trade for Brian Boyle(NYR), Hudler and a 2nd rounder would do it i think.

He's big, he has good hands, he hits, fights and wins faceoffs.

Not at all, except for Hudler and Kindl on the point...Reward those three for sure, but cripple them with Hudler and Kindl... Heck I am all for playing Helm's line in the top spot...He rewarded his hardest working players with PP time. How is that a bad move?

I'll admit that Cleary and Hudler have been terrible. But where are the leaders on forward? Franzen seems to be our go to guy now and he takes off nights, so how can this team stay competitive when we have two stars who aren't playing like it and a goal scorer who is taking on a role he shouldn't be taking?
