Even though we looked like we were playing pretty dominant with the puck in the first period. It's almost like we said "oh, let's give up now, I guess" after Pavelski scored at the end of the 1st. And for the 2nd idea...I don't understand why we don't try to go after these guys or players like them right now (and if someone can tell me why we wouldn't be able to obtain them now, I'm all ears...not too familiar with contracts and whatnot). dirtydangles 1,328 Report post Posted November 18, 2011 saw a "rumour" on HF boards about carter requesting a trade out of CLB. clb fans said it would take a top 4 defenseman (ericsson?) plus top 6 player (cleary? (hudler wont work)) and pick/prospect (1st?) to get him. carter, plus suter and parise would result in us destroying SJ. jus sayin. this current lineup cant do it 4 times in 7 games no matter how "hard" they play. need to match up night in and night out. its as simple as that. Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted November 18, 2011 This team hasn't been able to beat San Jose in the playoffs the last 2 years. So far this season, we aren't in there league when we play them. Yet our records are similar and both teams are very streaky. I'd say shake up the roster a bit (later in the season of course.. well that's when its gonna happen right or wrong ) and just play 60 minutes. I don't know how these guys are just ok with losing to the Sharks over and over. They show no emotion, ever. Babs started showing a bit tonight but it didn't matter. It sure is strange. Pound for pound they are the better team right now and have been for awhile. They will more than likely make it to the Conference Finals again. Sad to say it but it's true. And if we make the playoffs yeah playoffs lol we have no chance against them unless some sort of acquistion's are made before the trade deadline.
