Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted November 18, 2011 The Toronto announcers reactions to that are priceless. Mike Fisher trying not to bust out laughing. Hey, the kid is having a great year, and I doubt something like that will slow him down. Sure, it'll be in his head for a few days, but he'll bounce back. Promising young player, right there. Nevermind 363 Report post Posted November 18, 2011 How come I haven't even heard of the kid until now...he's a rookie with 7 goals and 14 points (exact same as Nugent-Hopkins). Guess playing in Nashville can do that. Moral of the story though. Don't get fancy with an open net. Side note: Scary thought. A player I've never heard of is outperforming Hank and Pavel offensively almost 20 games into the season. Sorry, not trying to spread panic or anything... With 7 goals in 14 games it might not seem like it to him right now, but goals are hard to come by in the NHL. He just learned the hard way that you need to just put it away and not get cute. And it is scary, if he were on the Wings he'd be second in goal scoring behind Franzen and tied with Flip for second in points.

Uncle Danny 155 Report post Posted November 20, 2011 Moral of the story though. Don't get fancy with an open net. As Mickey would say: "Now, you kids out there, pay attention, you could learn something from the pros."

P. Marlowe 748 Report post Posted November 21, 2011 Isn't that the guy who got drafted before the Sedins? Yep. "At the NHL level, Štefan is regarded by some as one of the greatest draft busts in league history." (Wikipedia)
