NickJC 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2011 Has anyone got the $9 ticket deal before? Is it worth the time or drive? Any idea how many are actually available or how early you should get there? How bad are the seats? What is considered a "premium game"? Thanks.
Travis 576 Report post Posted December 3, 2011 I don't know anything about the tickets, but I don't personally think there's a bad seat at the Joe. Premium games are against teams like the Blackhawks and Sharks.

Premium games are against teams like the Blackhawks and Sharks. There isn't. I used to get the Student Rush tickets for $15 all the time which were the last two rows and still had a great time. I'd suggest going and getting your tickets, having dinner in downtown Detroit, and then going to the game afterwords. Otherwise you run the risk of not getting tickets considering the 40-something consecutive sellouts.
Detroit40oz 21 Report post Posted December 4, 2011 The limit was 2 games and 4 tickets per game per person, so between two people I ended up getting 2 tickets to 4 games for 9 dollars each. Premium games were 19 dollars, and a lot of them were sold out by the time I got to through the line, but the only game that I wanted to get but was sold out was a Flyers game. Tickets for the entire remainder of the seasons home games were being sold I got there around 9am, they went on sale at 10am, and I was done around noon. Tickets were the last two rows in the corners, but still very worth it. I got 1/16/2012 vs Buffalo, 2/8/2012 vs Edmonton, 3/2/2012 vs Minnesota, and 4/5/2012 vs New Jersey (Lidstrom bobble head night).
Guest stinky fish taco Report post Posted December 4, 2011 I don't know anything about the tickets, but I don't personally think there's a bad seat at the Joe. wrong. there are some obstructed view seats, mostly in those corner "caves", which is what a lot of the $9 tickets are (or at least used to be). i'd avoid them.
