oh well, GO WINGS

Good rule of thumb is always take an octopus everywhere. Better to have one and not need it than find yourself thinking, "Damn, I wish I had that octopus".

Franzen is Colorado killer, if he gets a point - no chance for Avalanche.

I have to get up at 6, so I'll watch as much of this game as I can. Hopefully by the time I knock off for the night, the Wings will have a nice, comfortable, 4-goal lead. :D

Btw, Dave Strader will call the game on FSD.

Dave Strader covers for Daniels Sunday at Colorado. Matt Shephard takes Tuesday at St. Louis while Daniels is with family in Toronto.

I'll be at work during the game, but I'm sure the GDT will go like this:

Wings come out flying - LGW is happy
Wings get a PP - LGW is sad because we don't score
Bertuzzi takes penalty - Hate fest on Bert
Colorado scores - LGW hates the Wings
End of 1st
Begin second - Colorado scores - DRW are dead to LGW
Helm break away miss - Damn it Helm, we still love you.
Betuzzi breakaway miss - Damn it Bert, you're so old and full of suck.
Filppula scores - GMR still hates Filppula
End 2nd
Begin 4rd - Wings score on a PP - LGW has faith again
Datsyuk scores - LGW loves the DRW again.
Draper* ENG - Oh Draper*.....
Game end.

* May substitute with Zetterberg.
The Best Of BC
- Squirrels, they hate to be thrown. / Why is the magical unicorn named Brian... Jedi - I just downloaded the "kids" book, "Go the F--k to Sleep" as narrated by Samuel L. Jackson on my kindle. I am now ready to be a daddy. / *Checks Router* No, I'm positive I didn't hit the "Wings Defense Sucks" button. Electrophile - I'm just glad the Wings were able to win despite the Curse of Brian. ACallToArms - I think Trey needs to put something about payroll tax and deferred income in his sig... Edicius - I'd rather [have] a soundbite of me saying "I like (man sausage)" rather than "I like Crosby".

Probably going to be a high scoring affair with Conks in net.

I hope Conklin has a great game, I'd love to see 8 W in a row.

The Vladinator He earned the NHL Plus/Minus Award in 1995-96, with a plus/minus difference of plus-60. The +60 has been the highest rating a player has finished with in the past 20 seasons, since Wayne Gretzky finished with a +70 in the 1986-87 NHL season

Go Lions (good luck with that), go Wings! It's a great day to win!

Conks is gonna be hungry, and fired up. He's gotta know he's on thin ice, pardon the pun, after his last two debacles of starts. Considering his last performance in the Pepsi Center, I think it bodes well and the rest of the team is clicking. Conkblocker stands tall and only lets in two, one which he has no chance whatsoever on, the other not so much to allow for the requisite LGW complaining. Offensively, Franzen mule kicks with a three point night, Conner is a sparkplug and scores one, Pavel dazzles daringly with a devastating Datsyukian deke, and Kronwall and Lidstrom get into the giving spirit of the holidays and give the fans a goal and an assist each. 5-2 Wings final score.
It's pronounced "Zim" not "Exim". Aw heck with it, just call me Scott.
