I just hope this loss doesn't snowball into a losing streak.

If the way this season has gone is any indication, count on losing 4-6 straight before bouncing back to win 4-6 straight.

Hot and Cold... man, I love Katy Perry <3.

I think that's an exaggeration. Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't we gone 5 wins, 6 losses, 4 wins, one loss, seven wins, 1 loss? We've only gone on one lengthy losing streak, which in my mind means this team is a consistently winning team.

They played terrible, but what can you do, they won 7 in a row, it was bound to happen sooner or later.

Any word on who is in goal? I hope it's Conklin.

yeah...we should start our backup, who's playing awful, two games in a row and sit our starter who's currently playing like a top-5 goaltender.

great plan.

Howard might be enough of a workhorse to play every game this season, but I doubt it. Bad plan. What the TEAM needs to do is show up. Conklin kept the game close when the TEAM allowed 19 shots in the 2nd. I really wonder what some people around here are thinking?

so play conklin again some time over the next week or two.

why would conklin start 2 games in a row, against a division rival no less?

try to be realistic.

Yeah, you don't start your backup goalie two games in a row just because the team didn't "show up". Conklin wasn't horrible last night, but as I said previously, the Red Wings probably win last night with Jimmy in goal. That's both a credit to Howard right now and also a testament to Conklin's status as a career backup.

Points are too valuable in this league. I don't want Conklin sitting for another month or whatever, but Jimmy got some rest and it's time to roll with one of the best goalies in the league again.

What I'm thinking right now is that somebody negged you for speaking reasonably instead of dumping all the blame on Conklin.

actually, the neg was from me, for this:

Any word on who is in goal? I hope it's Conklin.

which is a ridiculous post.

as far as dumping all the blame on conklin, i haven't stated anywhere that the loss last night was his fault so it certainly wasn't that.
