Ken Holland: He’s (Mursak) a young guy, provides energy, can skate, he’s a puck hound.

Though still, dude was on fire. When he comes back I'm guessing he'll need a few games to get back to that level.

Detroit Red Wings forward Valtteri Filppula suffered a cut on his leg late in the first period Sunday."He got a cut on his leg above his skate,'' coach Mike Babcock said. "We sent him to have it looked at. We don't know if it's serious or not serious.''

Good rule of thumb is always take an octopus everywhere. Better to have one and not need it than find yourself thinking, "Damn, I wish I had that octopus".

Lets hope it's not a serious cut, like Modano or anything.
That was my concern on Flips injury. Let's hope for the best.

There's no way it's as serious - Mo had an exposed body part, on a part of the body which has a LOT of tendons, the only equivilency on the leg, is the achiles, which is protected by the skate boot... the only real fear here, is the back of the knee, but other than that, hopefully it's just something that needs to be allowed to heal for a week or so, and he'll be right back...That was my concern on Flips injury. Let's hope for the best.
Get well soon Flip!
All I have to say about Holland and our off-season:
and finally
Holland is a damn good GM. period.

Hudler/Holmstrom/Miller-Zetterberg-Cleary (Ugh...)
Adelkader-Helm-Conner
Holmstrom-Emmerton-Miller
So... I really hope Fil ISN'T out. Ugh.

Great news for the Wings- - A loss of Fil would have been really difficult to deal with because he has been playing so well and has helped Zetterberg play better as well.
