Thought about this today and it made me laugh.

Any update on whether or not Babs is still the only person in the world who doesn't know how to pronounce his name correctly?!

I heard him pronounce Khabibulin once as Ka-bibb-you-lynn.

Also the way he says Hudler makes it seem like there's about four Os in his name.

boob-cock?

Wings need some Ryan Pulock in the 1st round, a goal scorer in the 2nd round and rounds 3-7 all guys 6'4 or bigger.  Please sign Dekeyser to play with Smith.  <--Dekeyser signed, Paired next year.  Mark your calendars.

Tootoo needs a partner in crime that plays like him on the other side of Helm.  Oh hey, we have Mitchell Callahan.  Problem solved.

Cleary.... :pokey:

Unless its Smith, Brown or Jones, Don Cherry cant pronounce it but you'd think after having a guy on your team for 6 years, Babs would learn how to say Fil's name correctly!

Raising another Red Wings Fan!

Money on the board-SCP 2013
I'm going with the 22 special. 2 bucks for every 22 goal. 2 bucks for every 22 fight
5 bucks for every series win....another 5 for every shut out! LETS GO RED WINGS!!
ADDENDUM: Since it looks like Toots may not reinserted in the series, I would like to offer Bert his money on the board. So, 2 bucks for every Bert fight, 2 bucks for every Bert goal AND since OT has been a pattern, I want to add 5 bucks for any RED WINGS OT winner. LET'S GO RED WINGS!!!!

Everytime I hear someone say his name it's pronounced different. I've heard some good ones that make me raise an eyebrown and laugh.

I think he does it on purpose so that all the players kno they r beneath him. Fran-sen, Filly-poola, Datsick, Hoodler.....prevents players from becoming pre-madonna superstars and lets em kno hes the big man in charge lol love babs

One of the old presenters of the NHL over here used to call him Filler-piller. He was from Vancouver, make of that what you will.
"If I can be totally honest, it's not a lot of guys you get impressed by. Actually, it's no one else but him. From the bench, to see what move he makes -- you're like, 'I wish I could do that.' Sometimes you sit on the bench and just think, 'wow,' and you look over to the other bench and they sit there and shake their heads, too. He has great, great skills. I'm probably not going to play with another player who has the kind of skills he has." Mikael Samuelsson on Pavel Datsyuk

He's a border line grammar retard. Every time I hear him say so-and-so played "good" instead of "well" I kind of cringe in a subtle way - and I ain't no grammar police. I don't know he just seems pretty dumb - not GWB kinda dumb - but close....
Are you kidding? Block you? And miss watching you stumble around the forum looking for an argument like a dog sniffing butts? It would be like turning off a bad episode of Jerry Springer. You know you shouldn't be watching, but you just... can't... help... it...

:hysterical:
Well, she was from Detroit, but I'm pretty sure she's older than they are.

My money on the board pledge:

$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.

An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.

$5 for a SO by Jimmy.

Hamsters' names (current players in RED):  Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik

                                                                      Niklas Matthieu Daniel Robert

                                                                      Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan

                                                                      Andrew Patrick Ian Todd

And introducing:  Jordin Damien Gustav James

TOTAL SO FAR: $27

or maybe that is the correct way of pronouncing it? Maybe he asked Val exactly how is it pronounced and that is what he told him....Nobody is worse than Budd Lynch. Period.

If thats the same thing I am thinking of, it was kinda crazy. He completely butchered a couple names and then just went silent for like 10 full seconds. I honestly though he had a stroke for a second there...
