the pic under the "projected starters" in the OP is ozzie putting on glasses under his bucket. what is this?

Immediately after a game in 2008 ended and as the Wings were skating off the bench to congratulate him, a fan threw a pair of glasses on the ice for some reason. Ozzie picked them up and as a joke tried them on.

Preach it brother Babcock.

"We weren’t physical enough (Sunday)," Babcock said Monday. "When we play our best, we’re physical on the forecheck, on the grind, we’re wearing the other team out, our (defensemen) are allowed to be up and active. If you want your "D" to play with their face against the glass all night, I don’t know how they’re supposed to have any success and make any plays.

"So you got to decide: Do you want your "D" to get worn out or do you want their "D" to get worn out?"

Babcock said his team better not try to "skill" its way around the rink.

"If the other team is going to be physical and on your 'D,' and if you’re not willing to be physical and on their 'D,' eventually they’re just going to wear you out and catch you from behind, and you get turnovers all night," Babcock said.

All the turnovers that happen when they lose aren't just because the Wings forget how to pass, it's because they get rattled by a good forecheck. Let's hope they do more hitting than getting hit.

Pumped for this game. Hope they look better than last game. Has anyone used that freeredwings.tv? Curious if it's decent quality. the other places i've been it doesn't look very good. Just curious what other people have experienced.

Helm thinks he has a hat trick of empty netters, but it turns out that he is so fast that he beat the goalie to the net at the beginning of each period.

The goals are called back due to the fact that his speed involves going backwards in time, and therefore the goals occurred during the intermission or before the game.

Homer understands Helm's pain and offers condolences. Helm does not understand Homer's condolences, but appreciates the effort.

In the meantime, Stuie and Kronner each score a goal and the Wings win 2-0.

Love it! Darren would probably have better luck understanding Homer if it weren't for the Swenglish :P

BryceWings, the stream is fabulous  I used it for pre-season games even and the quality was better than any other stream I've ever watched.
