Happy for Connor. Real beauty of a goal. :P

Michigan boy Conner with his first as a Red Wing!

I believe it's Chris Conner's goal.

This is a far cry from the team that couldn't score more than one goal for about a half a dozen straight games. Pav and Hank both getting their mojo; Flip absolutely flying; Hudler picking it up; fourth line types contributing now too. All coming together.

I didn't want to say anything and jinx it, but that was an enjoyable half-game without a power play.

Two bad penalties after half a game with nothing being called.

Sure, kick them when they're down. WTH are the refs thinking with that call?
Can't wait to read the "Phoenix: I still think it's a hockey market" chapter of Gary Bettman's autobiography. I'm guessing it's going to be chapter 11.

Dats to FLIP!!!

KICK ASS!
The Vladinator He earned the NHL Plus/Minus Award in 1995-96, with a plus/minus difference of plus-60. The +60 has been the highest rating a player has finished with in the past 20 seasons, since Wayne Gretzky finished with a +70 in the 1986-87 NHL season

I love this team. SO. MUCH.

EDIT: This reminds me of something I read in Jari Kurri's biography about Gretzky. I believe Kurri said something like: "The first thing you learned playing with Wayne was to always keep your stick on the ice because the pass could come at any time, from any angle."
