Hey hey it's nearly that time of year again. Who else is super excited?? Canada had their first preliminary tournament game last night vs. Finland and got a 3-1 win. Great to see Teemu Pulkkinen pop one in for the Fins last night and it should be fun to watch all the prospects in international competition!

If anyone was wondering, the NHL Network will be broadcasting the games. Here is the schedule for the US NHL Network. Games start Monday (?) and US first game is Monday at 8PM for those who were wondering.

right? hopefully that dude is drunk..
a stream would be great if possible. since uverse dropped nhl network my hockey viewing has been limited to FSN-DET and VS.

Yup. Along with Mattias Backman and Marek Tvrdon.
Nedomlel should be there as well but it seems as if any player who decides to play in NA gets punished for a year.

Probably. But Sweden depends on him for the older world tournaments now. I'm not exactly sure but I think he's getting some consideration for the World Championships this summer.

I think that's all. Nedomlel was suppose to play for the Czech but the Czech hockey federation has so much sand up their vaginas they aren't letting him play (He'd be one of their top 4)

Off-topic, but I hope Swift Current trades Nedomlel to a contender. I'd love to see what he could do with a team that's not spinning its wheels like Swifty.
I'm not too worried about Pulkkinen, but I am hoping Jurco can snipe a bunch for the Slovaks. Could be a huge tourney for him.

Well our boy Pulkkinen decided to take a wicked shot right off the foot of Canada's Smith-Pelley. Probably the most physical player on Canada now has a broken foot and will miss the rest of the tournament. In the prelim games, he put up something like 8-10 hits per game. Huge hits too.

Backman with an assist and two penalties last night. Pulu was one of four players that didn't finish with a negative plus/minus and he also broke some guys fot with one of his holy slappers.
