Absolutely love our future Red Wings goalie

I see him as an excellent backup goalie if he makes it. I don't know about him being a starter though yet.

Canada has been great in their first 2 games! (I'm glad the wings prospects have been doing well though)

Good to see Mrazek playing well, but the stats won't indicate that... Czechs just couldn't stay out of the box!

That's fine. I trust Jim Nill over fan boys and day of the week.

I just finished watching the replay of the Finland vs. USA game. The one thing I noticed most, is how bad the small, speedy forwards from Finland made the big strapping defenseman fom the US look. Their forecheck was furious and had The US d-men tripping over themselves trying to get to the puck and get it out of the zone. Of course, this may change in a few years, when they've grown into their bodies, but they really got exposed pretty badly in this game.

If all "goaltender controversies" were as simple as Team Canada's...
Last name of the goaltender in Team Finland's loss to Team Canada on Monday: Gibson.
Last name of the goaltender in Team USA's loss to Team Finland on Wednesday: Gibson.

Sorry that was rude. Nill and management love this kids game. He has amazing reflexes and has great poise. Plus, he has what McCollum lacks, which is the mental fortitude and strong will of a goalie.

It's no wonder why there is so much bad blood between USA and CAN in these tournaments with statements like this. You didn't even mention the Canada's win yet you are ecstatic about the US loss. <_<

I was also pretty happy to see the USA lose! I just hope it isn't one of those losses that makes them stronger later on in the tournament.

On Mrazek, he looked great in net. His team did not help him at all against Canada, and he was the sole reason the score was only 1-0 for much of the game. He seems really fast in net, really athletic, and has a head of steam.

Oh, you mean like if they come out tomorrow and Saturday all pissed off with their performance and annihilate the competition? I don't think it will, but it sure would be nice.

Finland vs. Denmark tonight. I really hope Pulkkinen scores his first goal(s) of the tournament, that would drop the monkey out of his back.
