Thick headed, nice. I just don't like agitators like Kesler or Ott, however I do enjoy Avery, hard to explain I know.

But I'm not from Detroit, I don't choose my favorite teams based on where I live. Otherwise I'd be a St John's Maple Leafs fan!

He use to be an agitator.

Last season the coach told him not to get his emotions the best of him, stop chirping and worry about putting up points. He did that and actually hasn't chirped a lot since, this game was an exception, probably wanted to put in more heart into this game because of his hometown.

I can agree he's toned it down, him and Burrows used to be brutal. However that won't make me hate him any less

I love Lucic, I don't like his dirty plays as of late with the knee on knee and the hit from behind, but he's a fantastic power forward.

Just got back from game. The Canucks got a few lucky bounces, we had none. Luongo was sharp ... we had a few boneheaded plays that resulted in early goals. That hit on Kesler was dope ...

Can't win them all. Still awesome to see them live.

As Wings fans, I think we'll have to take It easy on the LOLongo jokes.

Anyhow, I love how consistent goaltender interference is called. Seems every other time a goalie is touched, a call is made. Jim gets ran over, "Play on, boys". Formulate a concrete definition and consistently make the call.

The Kronwall hit warrants no suspension. Leaves his feet, yes. Head is not the principle point of contact, and does not lead with the elbow. Love how Kesler gets up ready to go because he knows the refs won't let him. Weird how he never went back after Kronwall after the whole deal. I'll be beyond pissed if this hit is ruled a suspendable hit. Seems if there Is ANY type of major collision, there is a penalty and/or suspension, regardless of how clean the hit is.

White is a badass. Gets smoked in the head with the puck. Doesn't miss a shift. That is Red Wings hockey. Wonder if he'll switch to the visor for good now? Doesn't seem to be willing.

met ian white after the game and told him hes a warrior and that us pple on this site n wings fans love the fact we have him "n im not just saying that" his eye was fine that mans just a beast he was good tonight i thought... i was at the game n im still fired up i was right behind detroits bench 2 rows behind and when kronwall delivered the "U GOT KRONWALLED HIT" all i remember is me jumping up n screaming KRONWALLED! with many other Redwing fans in the barn... also when kesler the ***** went after kronners i yelled .."take a seat kesler uuuu *****" lol kindl and ericsson look back at me n just smirked n laughed babs smirked to also even some nux fans laughed... i was so fired up i cant stand nux fans oh my i live here near vancity i cant even put it into words how stupid and dumb there fans are and obnoxious ... so please detroiters who will be going to the next redwings n nux game at the joe ... if we do end up lighting up luongo or just having a good lead .. rag on him like we did on patrick roy.. and give kesler the boo chants show him michigan doesnt give 2 s***s about him.. once again sorry for my frustrated rant its 4 am and im walkin around the house wanting to pucnh the ***** wagon burrows face in n that model wanna be keslers freakin nose in! on the good side i got my helm jersey signed by helm after the game:)

Kesler biggest ****** in NHL regardless from Detroit or not, who cares!??? Do you see his actions (always cheap shots) always yapping (toned down my ass... Watch him against zetterberg and datsyuk). And hearing those comments after the hit just makes me hate the guy more. LOVED THE HIT! Made up for the loss.

i'll tell you what, though. howard's getting pissed. teams are running him like crazy knowing nobody's going to rough them up afterwards. that's gotta change, and i wonder if he plays a part in us finally getting some MEAN players.

I have to agree here. I DVRed the game last night and watched it this morning while I worked out. The Wings really didn't deserve to win this game the way they played in the 1st period. The only goal I saw that Howard maybe should have had was the 2nd goal, but that was a hell of a shot that hit far post and went in. Not like I haven't been scored on like that before. So I am willing to give him a pass on that one. The other three he didn't stand a chance on, especially the 4th where someone went into him.

I can also see how the ref determined that the vancouver player was pushed into Howard on that 4th goal. I have called goals like that before, but I have to be 100% sure the player was pushed into the goalie and didn't just fall into him. Its all perspective.

In the end, the Wings picked it up after a crappy 1st period and got within 1 goal with some hard work. Luongo played solid and deserved to win the game.

Can't win them all. I am sure Babcock told the boys to just forget this one and concentrate on Calgary today. If I know the Wings, Calgary is in trouble tonight. I think the Wings are going to be looking to avenge the loss last night.
