Eagles QB Vick admits to soreness but ready to paly
Jets must contain Eagles' QBThe Jets’ defensive game plan against the Eagles this week is simple — stick Vick. Eagles quarterback Michael Vick returned last week after missing three games with broken ribs. Now, the Jets hope to shut down the elusive leader of the Philadelphia offense at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick says physically he is "getting better" after returning to the field for the first time after missing three games with broken ribs.
Philadelphia coach Andy Reid said Monday that Eagles QB Michael Vick was "sore but OK" following his return to game action in Week 14 at Miami. Vick missed the team's previous three games after dealing with two broken ribs. He finished 15 of 30 for 208 yards passing and a touchdown during Philadelphia's 26-10 victory over the Miami Dolphinson Sunday.
Vick told the Eagles' official website that he's "a little sore when I throw, but I can tolerate it." He also pronounced himself as "feeling better, ready to go."
Michael Vick watched practice from the sideline, still sore from taking a beating in his first game back after breaking his ribs last month. Vick participated in a walkthrough Wednesday morning, but was a spectator in the afternoon when the Philadelphia Eagles began preparations for Sunday's game against the New York Jets.
