Much like the people I work with daily, there is no accountability with the referees. They aren't held to a standard. I honestly think refs just assume things and call penalties. They don't actually see it. The PS called last night is a key example. The ref was behind the play, sees the wings stick go horizontal and calls a hook and a PS.

It's ridiculous.

i think that is the biggest thing, there seems to be no reward for good refereeing and no punishment for bad refereeing...
