dragonballgtz 273 Report post Posted January 9, 2012 First time I actually seen the hurry-up faceoff rule be enforced.
Nevermind 363 Report post Posted January 9, 2012 (edited) Imagine if St. Louis was in the offensive zone. Though, the linesman wouldn't dare do that if that was the case. Obviously he was just trying to send a message to the Colorado bench to hurry up from that point on. Edited January 9, 2012 by Nevermind
Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted January 9, 2012 I love when that happens. The ref always yells and gives them plenty of time. What are you doing in a huddle right before a face-off anyway?
Red Wings Addict 787 Report post Posted January 9, 2012 I've seen this happen before but I can't find it on YouTube. I could've sworn it happened earlier this year or sometime late last year.

rrasco 1,312 Report post Posted January 9, 2012 It did happen at least one more time this year. They said it's up the ref's discretion, if he thinks they are taking too long, then he can drop the puck. I bet they don't do that again.
Crashnburnluder 385 Report post Posted January 9, 2012 I don't know what's funnier... The fact that they just dropped the puck, or the fact the Blues somehow didn't get it out of the zone... Instead the D forces it up the boards where the players were just huddled... I wish they would have turned it over and got scored against.... 1 sputman reacted to this
hillbillywingsfan 792 Report post Posted January 9, 2012 geez. If that were to ever happen in a wings game FOR the wings..Just think of the other fans perception about how we have the refs in our back pockets. hahahah wow!!

Maybe the team that just turned the puck over.

HadThomasVokounOnFortSt 878 Report post Posted January 11, 2012 That's hilarious, I've never seen that before...and yes why were the having a "hudle" anyway? Well for my high school hockey team that I am on we actually have set plays for faceoffs. Like we will have our center look at coach and he will put up a sign of the play he wants us to do. Then our center will tell the D and the wings the play.
sputman 1,268 Report post Posted January 12, 2012 still didn't get it out of the zone.
