I think that there needs be a Wings/Leafs game at the ACC in December especially if HBO will do 24/7 for this Winter Classic (or a similar show on another network).

The Winter Classic should not be the only game between the two teams next season.

Dumbest. Decision. Ever. This is the Detroit Red Wings, not the Michigan Wolverines. The Winter Classic should be held in Detroit, not in an over-rated stadium that isn't even close to the Detroit city limits. I would rather the state of Michigan not have a Winter Classic than play it in a place other than Detroit. Hell, I'd rather Toronto host the WC than Ann Arbor. Hell, there's even an unused lot not far from Comerica that could be put to some use.

And I guess this puts to rest the idea that Illich supports the city of Detroit. This is a plain money grab by him. Period. He does not have Detroit's best interest at heart, or it would have been held at Comerica Park.

Detroit, once again, gets screwed out of a Winter Classic. f*** raw numbers, f*** the money, play the goddamn thing in Detroit or move it to Toronto. I certainly won't be watching it in 2013.

Really???????????? Illich doesn't care about Detroit? He OWNS half of detroit. Red Wings, Tigers, Fox Theater, Motor City Casino are the big items. He tried to buy the Pistons and BRING THEM BACK DOWNTOWN. He owns every parking lot around Comerica Park and is giving up probably 57,000 cars paying parking. He didn't leave the city when he bought the wings and everyone wanted him to move to Troy.

If Detroit wants to fix itself, they shouldn't rely on yet another sporting game in the area to bring people in.

They've already had multiple chances to do that.

Seriously, get a grip. Excessive profanity doesn't get your point across anymore effectively but there's good news in all of this, the Flyers fans should welcome you with open arms.

Gotta hand it to Burke - he's a funny guy, but he's also right in the fact that the Leaf fans will show up in large numbers, and the fact that they're finally looking like a respectable team, and should make the playoffs (1st time post Sundin).

And Burke is probably close to his estimated time it'll take to sell 50,000 tickets to Leaf fans; there's gonna be alot of them at the Big House.
