The Grand Rapids Griffins have have traded veteran defenseman Greg Amadio to the Springfield Falcoms for rookie forward Mike Thomas.
Thomas, 21, is a first-year pro who has tallied four points (1-3—4) and 16 penalty minutes in 25 games with Springfield this season. He’s also appeared in two games with the ECHL’s Chicago Express, logging four penalty minutes. The New Maryland, New Brunswick, native served as captain of the QMJHL’s Saint John Sea Dogs as they captured the prestigious Memorial Cup in 2010-11. He registered 83 points (37-46—83) and 470 penalty minutes in 288 games over his five-year career with the Sea Dogs.

strange one, then again Griffs do have a lot of blueline talent coming thru.
