It sounds like they maybe have already shown some interest.
Detroit will, or has shown some interest in Moen. I would expect the Wings would show considerable interest in Brendan Morrow

I'd be pumped, regardless of which guy we acquired. Moen is a little younger, though. I'd like to be able to get Moen signed on with us for a few years if we can get our hands on him.

Maybe he can lure Weber here for a cheaper price, offering a truceHe would be our Weber killer.

Yes, you are correct! What have we all been thinking?!?!?Morrow would have to give his ' a-okay' with any move, being he has a ntc!

Getting Moen and Morrow would make us a tougher team to compete with come playoff time.
Of course, then the other Cup contenders might snag Perry, Iginla, Ryan or Parise, which would give them more firepower.
I really hope that the Wings acquire Morrow! I am sure it will cost some prospects along with a roster player. But he is every bit worth it as long as Dallas doesn't try to high ball Holland with a deal that they know Holland won't do...
I still think if the Wings got Morrow, Hemsky and Nabokov for the playoff run, they would be a formidable force no doubt! Even if one of our rivals scooped up Perry or Iginla. The Wings have shown before that they can handle those guys. Unless it is a deal that cannot be passed up, I don't think Holland gets Perry/Ryan/Iginla.
But back on topic, Morrow would be totally awesome here, plus he is signed for another season so he would be able to see exactly what being a Red Wing is all about and not just spend a few months here and bolt. Brenden Morrow is a keeper. He would be worth signing on long term before he becomes a UFA.
