Excellent road performance. Skating was outstanding compared to previous road games.

Wings really didn't play well and still got the win  Suck it Calgary, you and all your s***ty fans :D

I thought they played fine. Last year, they would probably have won this game 5-3. Tonight, they won 3-1 thanks to the better focus on defense and Howard playing solid.

I was at the game and I have to say, both teams looked slow and uninspired. I guess were lucky that Calgary was the worse team tonight.

I didnt get to watch a second of the game tonight ( On my way to Vegas) but I saw that Dats was the first star with 0 pts, 0 shots, and +/- 0. It doesn't surprise me but can someone explain to me how good he was out there tonight

He got it because of his stellar defensive play. I believe he was credited with two takeaways. Other than that he was his usual self; making smart passes, smooth stick-handling, smart play, etc.

The game was a total snooze-fest though. So even though Pavel was great compared to the mortals that played on both teams, on his scale he was a 5 out of 10.

Christ that game was boring. Amazing to compare it to another recent game with the same score, but the game against the Blues was intense and thrilling, while this was a dreadful slog. Oh well, at least they won, and on the road no less.

Calgary played more defensive and conservative than the Blues. There were less scrums in front of the net and so on. It was one of those games where one team was trying to slow it down (Calgary) while the other was trying to dictate the play (Wings).

Can't disagree with that. Definitely doesn't make for good television though. Not that Flames do (or should) care about that. A nice contrast of the best and worst the game has to offer.

Yup, I agree. It was worse than Devil's hockey back in the day.

Not much discussion - guess the main factor was that the Wings won.

Fixed it for you.
