Although getting Sutton would soften the blow.

Yeah I'm calling BS. Only one who really breaks trades from sportsnet is Kypreos anyways.

I will be very VERY sad to lose Jurco. I was so looking forward to seeing him play and grow and see what he would turn into in the wings org.I hope it's not true, I don't want to trade Jurco for Hemsky...

I sure hope not, I would trade Tatar, one of Emmerton/Miller/Eaves and a pick but Jurco and 1st would be overpayment IMO and Jurco will probably be better than Hemsky in a year or two.

If true though, I wonder what two players hit the press box.

We would have to be getting suter or something like that in return. Not Hemsky and sutton.I sure hope not, I would trade Tatar, one of Emmerton/Miller/Eaves and a pick but Jurco and 1st would be overpayment IMO and Jurco will probably be better than Hemsky in a year or two.

Hemsky is more of a boom or bust - it's obvious if healthy he could thrive with the Wings system, but man his injuries have really piled up. If all goes well I can see him re-signing with the Wings at a good cap hit.
If something like this were to happen, it's obviously not a dream scenario - like Parise/Suter - but I would rather lose Jurco and a first to a scenario like this, that does have a lot of potential, instead of Holland sitting on his hands.
"For my game, I don't need to score the goal," Konstantinov once explained. "I need someone to start thinking about me and forgetting about scoring goals."

I'd be excited about Sutton - he's kind of a meaner Brad Stuart and well liked by Oilers fans.

I couldn't disagree more. Jurco AND a 1st rounder for a 36, soon to be 37, year old defenseman who is always one hit away from a five-min major or a multiple game suspension and a injury-plagued $5'000'000 bust? No thank you.
I'd much rather keep Jurco and the 1st rounder. I'm open to trading Jurco and a 1st rounder (even though I would like to see Detroit draft and develop more great young talent, like you see every other team doing), but the return would have to better than that.
