Depends on the part of Russia. Datsyuk and Malkin grew up right near the Russia/Asia border. (Ninja jokes about Datsyuk anyone?)
But I think Datsyuk and Kovalchuk grew up not too far apart from each other so maybe Schenn did get ninja warriored.

Looked it up. Kovy was born in Tver, Russia, which is in the Europe side. My mistake, soft Euro it is.
