What a s***ty call on Lidstrom, there was absolutely NO HOOK! I swear the NHL needs to implement some sort of system to review every game with calls officials make and punish them for stupid calls.

Anyways, another horrible period of hockey for the wings. No energy, little effort and their powerplay has REALLY costed us so far by allowing a shorty against us. Mike Babcock has to get these guys to get going asap!

The only two players that had outstanding periods were Nick Lidstrom and Joey Mac. Nick was AWESOME breaking up tons of plays, excellent positioning and trying his best to get things going. And if not for Joey, this game might be out of reach. Like I said, this team better get going.

Mursak is a great player but its hard to argue against playing Emmerton. He has been playing really well these past few games.

And Mursak hasn't played well (better) in his few games??

Emmerton meh.

Ken Holland: Hes (Mursak) a young guy, provides energy, can skate, hes a puck hound.

We're good as long as we don't give up 3 goals in the first on the road.

Anyone who says that a goalie or another dman should be at the top of the trade deadline list does not watch the games

Ansar Kahn today:

Our power play, for the skill level we have on our team, isn't good enough, so that's a reflection of the coaches,'' coach Mike Babcock said. We got to do a better job. And it's a reflection of the players. We got to bear down in that area.''

Two things:

1.Lids still has the hand-eye cordination of an 18 year old. He's phenomenal.

2. The Phoenix arena staff needs to put some pucks in the friggin freezer.
You gotta be the QB to win the MVP baby! You can't be the punter.

Looks like these guys are still sleepwalking.

Legit call. Gotta be smarter than that, Pavs.

If that was Homer it wouldn't have counted. Nothing Joey could do. I love how we're getting a great goaltending performance and the Wings dont even show up.
