His buyout really isn't too bad. I wonder what Montreal would give us to take him? Pacioretty, Moen, & Gomez for a conditional 7th? Sounds fair.

I'd get Gomez, trade Zetts straight up for him will save us $$$ in the long term.

I could shed tears of shame for Holland thinking that was ever possible. I'd like to think Gomez wouldn't have had his historic meltdown if he had played with us though. This and the Yzerman to Ottawa near deals are sickening.

I still don't understand why he hasn't been put on waivers yet. What a complete waste of money.
He's still a fairly good puck possession guy, and Montreal's record thus far in the season when he plays is far better than it was when he was injured.
