Homer plays game #1000 tonight.

Cheer extra loud for him at the game tonight, Mike. I will miss him so much when Homer hangs them up. I won't be surprised if this is his last season. :(

I wouldn't mind a crushing of the Ducks tonight. Would suit the beginning of the weekend perfect

With the Winter Classic officially announced, I think he'll play one more season for sure.

Hopefully...I think a lot of it depends on the condition of his body. Poor guy takes a beating every night he might not want to put up with it for another year.

I'll be here watching though it seems we have quite a few LGWers going to the game. Make sure you all cheer extra loud for Homer's big night :) As others have said, we have to play hard tonight and better get the win.

Go Wings!!

The record is within sight. Let's keep the home streak going but don't take these guys for granted, they've been playing 7-2-1 in their last 10 games!

Why does everything have to go so slow at work on game days? I just want to get off work so I can go home, grab some buds, and watch some Red Wings hockey!

Against a team with a well established record of goonery, this makes no sense to me. Then again, there is an equally well established record of Holland and Babcock not caring what I think.

Edit:

Hmm, that might be part of it.

Getzlaf used to be a monster. But now he seems fairly invisible. Am I the only one who noticed this? I guess winning a cup and a gold medal has satisfied him.

He tends to have big games against Detroit, but I've heard Ducks fans criticize him for several seasons now about not giving a solid effort on a nightly basis.

Good question. It sounded like Kindl had a good game last game (I didn't see it), but the Wings could definitely use some increased toughness against a team like the Ducks.

Add me as another one in the why is Kindl playing and not Commie camp. We all know how the Ducks play...maybe Babcock really doesn't like Commie?

Ericsson plays better when Commie plays. Ericsson-Kindl is a nervy pairing. Dislike. Bleugh.

LGW!

I have been informed (though not confirmed) that today is Kindl's birthday; perhaps that's it.

Glad to see Abdelkader being moved back to a wing position as well as Emmerton being moved to center

Yes it is his birthday, but that's not a good reason to dress the guy. If Babcock feels he earned then fine, I have a feeling that's got to be it.
