To WSH:

Jiri Hudler

Fabian Brunnstrom

2012 2nd

To DET:

Alexander Semin

2012 5th

To TOR:

Cory Emmerton

Joakim Andersson

Jakub Kindl

2012 3rd

To DET:

Nikolai Kulemin

Jesse Blacker

Projected Line-Up

Kulemin / Datsyuk / Semin

Filppula / Zetterberg / Franzen

Cleary / Helm / Bertuzzi

Miller / Abdelkader / ( Holmstrom / Mursak / Eaves / Conner )

Lidstrom / White

Kronwall / Stuart

Ericsson / ( Commodore / Kindl )

Howard

MacDonald

Conklin

That is a scary lineup that can definitely push for the Stanley Cup.

Wait until the offseason (depending on what Lidstrom decides to do) to go after a big name UFA defenseman.

Were you high when you wrote this?

Was too creative for him not to be, i hope this was a post more for laughs though.

I hope to death we see neither semin or hemsky in a wings uniform, and that can go for kulemin too. Kenny thanks you for a laugh

If we beat the Ducks tonight, it will really hurt their playoff push and by the deadline if they are seemingly out of it, I think Kenny should take a run at Selanne. IMO Selanne is the best bet at a missing piece to help us win a cup this year. Like Nick, he is still the best player on his team this season (even at his age) and we all know how clutch Selanne is.

First off, the OP's suggested trades are beyond ridiculous. I might take Semin for Tatar and second-rounder, because he is right-handed shooter, but?

But as to Selanne, didn't Anaheim's GM say he was untouchable? But he is a righty, and this team desperately needs a right-handed shooter. I'm telling you. So I would not scoff at him.

Haha so in other words you cant even tell me whats wrong with these trades Hahaha

I gave you a plus because I don't see a problem with posting trade proposals.

But I don't think Burke would want those players, and from what I've heard (just on other forums and stuff) Semin is headed back to Russia after this season. Plus, Hudler is only 1 point behind Semin, so I'm not sure adding Semin would be as big a boost as people think.

Selanne talks about filps success and the possible trade rumors. he dodges the trade question, which is not the answer youd expect from someone who isnt going anywhere.

Put him on a line with Datsyuk and he'll score ______ goals!

I agree that Burke probably wouldnt go for the trade and McPhee probably wouldnt bite either but everyone here is acting like Holland would be an idiot for making these trades. I think we would be much improved if we could pull off these trades, which by the way I know would never happen, just having a bit of fun during these boring couple weeks leading up to the trade deadline.

Washington gets Hudler, a mediocre sniper that can help out the second line as well as PP, and two third line forwards that can add some needed depth as well as an upgrade in a draftpick. We get arguably the best sniper in the league that has done jack for his current team that desperately needs a change of scenery.

Toronto gets a potential second and a third line center as well as a potential 4th defenseman and a draft pick and we get another Filppula type player for a bunch of prospects and a pick.

I think offloading all these prospects to get two players of their calibre would be huge. Our prospect pool at the forward position is extremely deep and we dont have to touch Nyquist, Mursak, Pulkkinen, Jarnkrok, or Jurco...

Both Semin and Kulemin are having down years which brings there asking price down a little, but honestly all either of them needs is a change of scenery. I think they would both thrive here in Detroit and especially on a line with Datsyuk.

That would be amazing. Perhaps we could use a written agreement, stating that Datsyuk will not fight Perry anymore, as trade bait.

To TB- McCullum,Brunnstrom(or a prospect),and a pick

To Det- Purcell

purcell is a big body right hand shot can put up some points and has good speed maybe Holland can swing a deal with TB and Stevey saying it doesnt look like they are making the playoffs and need a possible shake up

I would like to see Selanne here. He did say that he and Val have good chemistry and the way he said lets put it that way leads me to believe the answer would be yes if he would like to Finnish (pun intended) the season on Val's team and Detroit came calling. Not unless Val is going to be traded to Anaheim in a package deal for Perry or Ryan....Hmmmmmm.....

Hudler: 54gp 17g 34pts 15:05 min/game 22.4%shooting 11 blks 33 hits 5'10" 186lbs $2,875,000 cap hit

Semin: 50gp 14g 33pts 16:45 min/game 13.5%shooting 12 blks 24 hits 6'2" 209lbs $6,700,000 cap hit

It speaks volumes about just how much is wrong with Semin right now that he's neck and neck with a midget getting 2nd/3rd line mins.

So is Semin scoring more than Hudler? No. Producing more in fewer mins? No. Shooting better? No. Hitting more? No. More talented? Yes. Signed next season? No.

Honestly it's arguable he'd even be more than a lateral move if we're comparing each player's output this season.

And Semin's playoff play? Yikes... 0g 2a in 7gp two years ago, 4g 2a in 9gp last year.

So basically you want to trade Hudler for a guy making more than anyone else on the Wings but producing less offence than Hudler. AND you want to throw tons of other s*** in the deal too like one of our top prospects (Tatar). From Washington's prespective they get guy who can produce as much as Semin in less ice time PLUS $3,825,000 in cap relief (noting that Washington has$0 in cap space right this season).

Holland would have to be a meth addict to make that trade.

Just outta curiosity, who wins these trades in your opinions? I hope you dont think were losing these trades...

And yeah, scrap Kindl in the final lineup.

lol

I like this a bit better.. I don't want to get involved with Semin, next thing we know we are stuck with a big contract on an inconsistent guy that stops caring when he gets paid. I definitely don't want to pay out that much for Semin either, there's much better options out there.

Agreed, plus McCollum is deep into bust territory right now.
