I decipher this "corporate speak" all day long...so this one was easy for me to interpret.

Goal = A FUTURE accomplishment

*So they are in fact saying, they want to best the best venue in hockey and have their team win the Stanley Cup....at some future point. I would put this in the "Long Term" goal category.

i would love for preds to have 12 stanley cups,nashville can't earn stanley cups,like the red wings can,the wings are a powerhouse team and have been in the leauge longer than the predators

I was gonna make fun of them, more specifically that they thought that they'd ever be the #1 hockey venue, but since it's a mission statement it actually makes sense.

So we let this one slide for Nashville. But nothing can ever explain that giant sign depicting a pig-nosed Toews with the Cup.

Actually, the statement about the arena has been going on for about 6 months... So no Mission Statement with that. They really believe they are a Cup Caliber Team... Without sounding like a hater, if they DO NOT resign Weber, you will have people dumping what season tickets they do sell left and right. This offseason for them is the most important in their history.

"Mission statements" aren't normally written in the present tense... That's more like a "mission accomplished statement".

An interesting story, but I think I would have put "Mission Statement" or "Goals" as a header above the sign.
