so exactly what was your problem with my statement? i don't want holland to sit on this cap space when the team has obvious needs to address.

do you disagree with that?

or did you want to insult me again? i'd report those posts to a mod, but oh, what a surprise...you are one!

Report me for what? I called you out for acting like a child, because you are in fact....acting like a child.

I don't disagree that the Wings have needs. I do disagree with the way you come across and your simple-minded approach to GM'ing. Just because the Wings have needs (which they do), it doesn't mean Kenny should mortgage the farm for a single shot at the Cup this year. The reason the Wings are perennial Cup contenders is *because* Kenny doesn't give in to the knee-jerk reactions you specifically are calling for.

Understand?

Too bad. Still need some grit, I guess I'd be alright with Pahlsson if the rumors about Jones are also true.

The biggest problem there are already too many players on the bottom 6, the Wings most pressing need is a top 6 winger, this time that Dats has been out has proved how terrible our top 6 is.

I definitely agree with you. We do need a top 6 winger, we've stockpiled too many soft bottom 6ers and that's why I feel it's a need too. The day is young, I know people don't expect much movement but two additions up front couldn't hurt, especially if we move Emmerton out.

Problem is that there are not very many Top 6 forwards available. A guy like Jones is one of the more solid moves they could make.

P.A. Parenteau has 58 points in 62 games. :omg:

Is this from playing with Tavares? Interesting though...

A lot of it is, although he hasn't played on a line with JT for the whole season.

As I said, I would love Jones or Parenteau to the Wings. Brown/Nash/Lupul/etc would cost too much, but Allen and Parenteau could be relative steals.

Rumors are now pointing that Wings are making a serious offer for Jones. This would be a great Ken Hollandesque addition.

Rumors point to #Detroit talking to #Colorado for Jones. Emmerton and a pick? #NHLDeadline

The Nashville deal set the cost at a 2nd and a late pick... Wings would have to move a player, so maybe Mursak or Emmerton.

I would prefer Emmerton, but then we are lacking at center...

Emmerton+3rd and I'd do it no doubt. Sure we'd be lacking at center, but then we can add a gritty 4th line guy :hehe:

Just want something to happen to get the ball rolling.

That is the inference from this post:

i can't wait to see the wings do absolutely nothing today. so glad they have all that cap space.

You articulate no good trade that the Wings could make, nothing that has been offered that the Wings should but didn't accept, and everyone is agreeing that sellers prices are ridiculously high this year (at least up to this point). The problem is that since all you do is whine, complain, moan, flame, and generally do whatever you can to be negative (hence the -640 rating) no one gives you the benefit of the doubt that you might just this once be making a reasonable and rational proposition.
