I wouldn't mind seeing Kindl or Emmerton moved for a trade. I think we have enough cover for both. Would prefer to keep Mursak however as he has more upside in my opinion and hasn't had as much chance.

Word in TO is that Detroit is kicking the tires on Grabovski. No solid source on that though.
Would be excellent. In a right system (our system) he could be quite similar to Pav.

Do we need a 4th line upgrade?
Or do we need to add some insurance for Mr. Fish-out-of-water-i-miss-Pav Franzen?

FWIW, I think Gaustad is a perfect fit on this team. Big, physical, character guy that wins faceoffs. Perfect plug for the 4th line, PK.
Ditto. Blocks shots, not afraid of anybody... and he wins faceoffs. I would like him here.

I disagree the bottom 6 have been great, its the top 6 that needs the shake up.FWIW, I think Gaustad is a perfect fit on this team. Big, physical, character guy that wins faceoffs. Perfect plug for the 4th line, PK.

They need both, but the market supply/demand means they likely won't get both. Hell, I'd love Nash, but unless he demands a trade to Detroit it isn't going to happen. That's just it!

If Detroit ends up with just Guastad, I'll be satisfied. If they don't get him and end up with, say, Pahlsson... I am disappoint.

To be 100% honest, we need both.

The team could use an improvement at the fourth line center position. Gaustad or Ott would be optimal IMO.I disagree the bottom 6 have been great, its the top 6 that needs the shake up.

Except for Milan LucicDitto. Blocks shots, not afraid of anybody... and he wins faceoffs. I would like him here.

I hope we make a deal and it involves dumping Kindl.

You're not likely to get both. Theoretically easier to get the plug on the lower line (and the special teams depth), than it is to get that top 6 scorer. Limited supply, high demand... High prices. They've already dealt their 1st this year and I can't see them dipping into 2013 without it being a major player coming back.I disagree the bottom 6 have been great, its the top 6 that needs the shake up.
