putting commie in instead of kindl would bea good trade deadline move.

I think the Wings have a very hard time against a quick aggressive fore-check. I'd say it's our biggest weakness.

I really like Commodore, but he is so slow; exposing us more to said weakness.

Not sure if this deserves its own thread.

@SpectorsHockey: RT @L_A_theRiver: #Wings reportedly interested in #Habs Moen, would part with 2nd rounder from '12 draft, Xavier Ouellet - hometown boy http://t.co/vLdcjAW6

I know the Habs said he's not available, but never say never this tine of year, especially when Ken Holland is involved.

I would think if that was really offered moen would be a wing already. Thats an overpayment IMO.

I like Moen but the price seems a bit steep.

Hmm... Xavier Ouelett... I really like him as a prospect. He's getting closer to blue chip status by the day. Then again he's still not a guaranteed NHL player. Tough call.

I just read on an Mlive article about Spacek. NO THANKS, please and thank you....

*EDIT: I just read that Grabovski is looking for near 5 mill on his new contract so I think Burke's looking to unload him...I dont want to pay him 5 mill and either would kenny but if he bought into our system he'd be worth an easy 4 mill. He would be great with Z, D or Flip...

Could somebody please tell me what our chances are of getting Shea Weber anytime soon? Is there a chance that Holland can hold off and try to pick him up later? Thanks.

Quincey goes back. There's another dman option for the Wings gone.

Actually, maybe not?

Per Bob McKenzie

"I am now hearing TB has traded Kyle Quincey to DET. Working on details but sounds like Quincey to DET for a first-round pick. Verifying."

...and now confirmed! Quincey comes back to Detroit.

"Confirmed. TB trades Kyle Quincey for DET's first round pick."

"DET also trades minor leaguer Sebastien Piche to TB as part of the Kyle Quincey trade."

"And the best, I must confess, I have saved for the last, for the ruler of this Christmas land,

is a fearsome king with a deep mighty voice, least, that's what I've come to understand.

And I've also heard it told, that he's something to behold, like a lobster, huge and red!

When he sets out to slay with his rain gear on, carting bulging sacks with his big great arms, that is so I've heard it said.

And on a dark cold night, under full moon light, he flies into a fog like a vulture in the sky!

And they call him Sandy Claws!

I hope we're getting something more back than just Quincey for that 1st rounder, like TB's 2nd or 3rd. Seems like a high price to pay for just him imo.

Edit: So the Wings send their 1st & Piche to TB.

The market this year warranted a 1st and a low level prospect.

Tampa not done, going hard after Blues G Ben Bishop.

Pierre just said at one time Nash was an option for DET, but it ain't happening because the price was too high. Also said don't except to see Moen since we already have several of those type of players; namely Abby, Helm, and Flip.
