Dave Hodge called in sick today lol

Either it's good timing with being sick, or a good plan to "fake" being sick today.
Lets Go:
Red Wings
Tigers
Roughriders
Lions
Spartans
Pistons

This off-season will be better than the deadline. The deadline fun died with the lockout.

I'd have to imagine Nash is feeling pretty s***ty right now.

Like last season when the wings started the season with 5 million in cap space...

Im Wasser verbrannt

Nashville is a better team going into playoffs and just sent Suter a message that they will be a contender going forward. Look for Suter to re-sign

It's amazing how much clarity comes when you care more about the Red Wings than any individual player.

"They are the best team in the world. They are a team that can just take over when they want to," Chicago's Patrick Kane said (of the Detroit Red Wings).

Preds gave up a lot this deadline. 2nd round pick in 2012, 2nd round pick in 2013 and whatever they traded for Gaustad.

They did get better, but they gave up a lot in the process. They are going for it this year for sure.

Well I'm underwhelmed.

"Very few cities in the NHL have the history or the following of the Detroit Red Wings." - Steve Yzerman

So why keep all the cap space for? Why trade Commodore for nothing?

Kenny messed up this deadline. Sorry folks, say whatever you want, standing pat is a mistake.

oh well at least smith will be playing, and quincey is a good pick up. a bit let down we didn't add a gritty guy for the bottom 6 but overall satisfied.

Sigh, guess when Kenny said we were saving the money for the deadline, he meant Free Agency...

Whelp ready for a 2nd round exit. At least my expectations are realistic since this team has about zero chance of getting pass that.

They definitely improved, but I still think the Wings are better when healthy. This is sure to make the STL NASH first round series a lot of fun if that's how the standings end up.

Do I wish he had added some depth at forward. Yes I do.

But to say he stood pat and messed up the deadline...no. He got Quincey in to help for this season as well as long term. I think he did pretty well.
