It seems like it. Especially Janik, like he can fight, and he needs to show the brass he has something. Smith fought last game so Babs probably told him to stop. And Abby, I'm sure he could put up a fight vs Rinaldo or Hartnell. It's what alot of fans don't understand that you and I do, it's not about winning the fight, it's about showing your not afraid. The Wings are showing there afraid.
Agreed 100%. I think SMith, Janik, and QUincey are all capable of winning the fight or getting the draw, however theres just no response from them. they need to go out of their way to rough up the flyers not have the flyers come to them.

There's nothing we can do now. This is our team for the season. My point was, if we can't capatilize on the PP's that come off teams running us and gooning it up, then we need a guy that can answer. We don't have one, and our PP sucks. Just not alot of good stuff happening the last couple games
our powerplay will be able to answer once everyone gets back. Getting Quincey on the point and Hudler off of the point and onto the sideboards will give a us a MUCH better PP. No goons necessary, I'll take the PP.

If a guy's vulnerable, you're supposed to let up a bit. Kronwall didn't. That's the argument Shanny will make.
The vulnerability aspect of this hit is no different than any other Kronwall hit. Im not using that as defense for the hit, but I don't know that Shanny can use that as the principle reason for enforcing a suspension.
I have to watch to replay again, but Kronner commits to his hits pretty early on and that poses a problem in these situations. When he commits to his hit, it's usually while the puck is in mid pass along the boards to the winger. Theres a good second or two as Kronwall transfers his momentum from skating backwards to skating into the zone. if a player presents his head in front of his body, eyes only in the puck after getting the puck, kronwall is already on top of him. If we give the winger the benefit here, and say kronwall can still pull up and avoid the hit, the winger gets a breakaway because at this point all of kronwall's momentum is going the opposite direction of the play, and hes pinched in from the blue line. Letting up on a hit in those situations would lead to breakaways.
For Kronwall when he decides to engage in the process of starting the hit, he either commits to the hit and risk the injury and the suspension if he happens to never put his head up, or avoid the hit and give the winger an excellent scoring opp.
The way the rules are set up really discourage these types of hits (not headshots but hitting wingers as they approach the blue line). I never really thought about it before this instance because everyone up until this point ( at least since the rules cracked down) got their head up in time to avoid getting it blasted off their body.

Play them more.
They actually want to be out there.
Ken Holland: He’s (Mursak) a young guy, provides energy, can skate, he’s a puck hound.

Go with McCarty to remind them of this:
One of my favorite Wings' moments.
"He even ate with women who at that time were accorded the same status as the family donkey. Are we willing to break bread with, say, child sex slaves, transgender teens and undocumented workers? Because when Jesus comes back to Earth, that's where he'll be hanging."
You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.
Money on the Board - 100 bucks on the base. From here on, one buck per puck IN goal, win or lose!
Total right now: $105.

Our enforcer is out with a lower body injury.
Bertuzzi? Or is this a cheeky way of saying the PP is our enforcer, and Datsyuk is out meaning we have no PP
Brian McGrattan 2013. Get it done Kenny.

Tocchet with a brilliant bit on the kronwall hit, totally respect Tocchet.
What did he say?
