Depends on how you look at it. Z has been in what? 1 fight against Malkin in '09? I am sure he would lose but maybe it would get the other guys heads out of their asses.

Well to be fair every goal only has those two outcomes. Either it contributes to the win or it's meaningless

Are we considered a depth team? We're having a lot of trouble sustaining any offensive pressure and we're really only out one legit top six forward (if Bert played today, we can all agree there wouldn't be much difference).

Came here to say this. Franzen is a good player and all, but I'd like him to play a little more clutch like he totally knows how. It seems like almost every time he scores, it's either when we're so far ahead that there's no chance of a comeback by the other team, or the exact opposite. I can't remember the last time he had a goal that turned a game around or put a game away.

He led the league in game winning goals for a while. Not sure where he is on that list now. I agree though he needs to score when it matters when guys like Dats are out.

The more I've watched, the less I like what the Wings have been playing like. For the first 2 or 3 games of the home winning streak through tonight, they've played progressively weaker and weaker.

How long before Babcock finds, and pushes, the right button to kick this team in to overdrive and gets them kicking ass for the playoffs?

Fixed. I'd rather not have Z fighting, but it'd be nice if the Wings showed any fire at all. Only the Blues game at home earlier this year have they rose to the occasion.

The Wings have good 3rd line depth players, but they do have a shortage of depth skill players.

The absences on D also contribute to the current troubles. The Wings rely on the D more than most teams for offensive plays.

You said you hoped Z would get his ass beat in order to fire up the team, not that he would merely fight. So we maybe get a spark by risking a potential injury to who is-as of late- our most consistent player. Like I said; your reasoning is s***.
