Safe to say not the best of first periods for us. Here's hoping we can still turn things around in the next 2.

This team is PATHETIC without Pasha! Like seriously they look LOST! I understand they are missing a few pieces but they need to have a better effort than this. Also for the Wings to have this bad of a PP whichever coach is running the PP needs to NOT RUN IT asap because this is unacceptable. I cannot wait until Pasha is back.

Agree about the effort, but they're missing the top players in every position, essentially (Lidstrom, Datsyuk and Howard is probably rusty and still hurting a bit). Plus extra depth injuries. It's more than just a few random pieces missing.

Not a good start, hopefully we have a good 2nd.

ANother thing... I think Cleary needs to sit... he is our worst player out there. He is constantly giving the puck away, making dumb plays and just draining energy. Think about it.. for the majority of this year whoever he has played with has not performed too well offensively. I understand that he is having knee problems and obvs that is impacting his game but I think he needs to sit.

Agreed but this team has to show some kind of balls. I don't rag on these guys too often but this is terrible. Teams forecheck the hell out of us the last 20 games and stack the blue line. I'm just some washed up beer league hockey player and I can see it. Hammer pucks out of our end and chip and chase. Worth a try at least lol

Cleary is playing so poor, that I don't even notice him falling down anymore.

He may think about retiring in the offseason. Either way, if this continues and he does nothing the rest of the year, he shouldn't be brought back.

I have been a Cleary defender but I agree, he has been flat out terrible since his return. Every time he crosses the blue line he skates down to the hash marks and takes a weak shot. It could actually become a drinking game.

Take a shot every time Cleary skates over the blue line and takes a weak shot from the hash marks.

My frustration is not that the team is "not showing balls" because they are... they dug deep for a win friday and played weell enough to win on Saturday despite being burnt out. I know they are dealing with huge injuries, especially Pasha and Nick, BUT my problem has to do with the fact that everyone, from the coaching staff out, continues to not make the adjustments necessary that are so obvious.
