With injuries players usually come back and have a pretty good first game just because of momentum but then usually have slow games for 2 to 3 games after that... so no surprise that Pasha seemed a bit slow tonight. It did not help that Babcock has put CLEARY or HUDLER with him though as they are both slow and cant follow a play up if they wanted to. Hudler had a terrible game tonight and had no reason to do so whereas Pavs can because he is still getting into game form.

Having said that, this was a fantastic game to watch from a fan of hockey standpoint... 2 great teams battling it out, both goalies making timely saves, strong defense and the refs let both teams play. I am very confident to say that this was the last game we will havta watch without Nick and I will be extremely surprised if he does not play Saturday night at home. We played very well tonight, for the most part, considering our lineup and I am willing to bet they start a nice winning streak beginning Saturday with the return of the Great Number 5.

It looks like Datsyuk was brought back too soon.

They better rest him if it means getting him healthier for the playoff round.

100% agreed. He really looked like he was getting gassed quickly. Maybe they rest him Saturday.

Problem with the Wings is they are making to many stupid mistakes. Mistakes you expect rookies to make not a veteran team. I cannot count how many times this year you see the Wings getting burned by bad changes (to many men tonight) which is all mental. And I cant think of a weaker end to end rush than the Wings gave up tonight. All that was missing was a red carpet for him to skate down before scoring.

Yeah, it's pretty poor when a veteran like Kronwall gets burned so easily by Richards.

With Lidstrom out, he has to step up and prove he can be a number one defenseman who can lead a team. Instead, he pulls that s***.

Sharing the sentiments about Cleary. How many goals have to go in with Cleary on the ice for Babcock to STOP playing some idiotic hunch that Number 11

Is gonna find his game in OT. f*** sakes

As for the game...Ty was great and I out we ayes well. That was the Zetterberg I know and love!

Guys you dont get it... it isn't that the Wings brought Pavs back too early... he is fully recovered... the problem is that it takes 4-5 games for a returning player to get into game form. Sitting him wont help at all... he needs to play so that he can get his legs going where they should be along with his confidence. Having said that, it would help if Babs would give him some SUPPORT.

Well at least Nyquist looks like a bad ass on either top six line. I also have to say at least the effort was there tonight, you can't win them all even when trying. Cleary is still such a terrible hockey player that I think it transends to the point that I think he kills kittens and runs over old ladies. Hudler sucks as well. Flip is the man!
