Consider me shocked the puck went in the net with Cleary, Bertuzzi and Abdelkader all on the ice together.

Too many passengers. Besides Pavel, Z and Fil there is no consistency at forward from anyone else.

Close checking game, they have capitalized and we haven't, not much difference between these two teams, quite honestly I would give up 4th place to not play them. Give me Mike Smith, Niemi or Lehtonen all day over Rinne. Tough to play a decent game, get the pp's and not score. Our PP is like Ikea....NO FINNISH !

I still can't get over that Cleary giveaway that led to that last minute goal.

O please we hit a post and Rinne got a lucky save. Then Cleary (who many of us have openly hated this year) screwed up in the last minute costing us a goal. A couple things:

- Franzen NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OFF THE TOP LINE!!! Pavel looks like Pavel that we know only when he is not on the ice with Franzen... FIX IT BABCOCK!!!
- Man Kronners has been having some rough games lately... not able to keep pucks in, not hitting the net, mis-cue on passes which leads to my next point
- Why is White not on the top PP with Nick on point?? It is best that way cuz him and Nick can switch sides for the 1 timer... with Kronners with Nick they keep trying to give the puck to Kronners to shoot instead of Nick and it just isn't working. Simply put, White should be playing with Nick and Nick needs to get the puck more
- However the PP is moving the puck really well and we should have scored twice on it tonight... one post and one robbery

Going into the 3rd the Wings need to dominate and to do so I think the Eurotwins need to be reuinted. Get it done babcock!

Seems like someone is out to neg everyone who realizes we just lost the first game of the playoffs tonight.

I negged you simply based on over-reaction. If this team loses in the playoffs (and it looks like they might, I agree) it won’t be because of this game. That’s just silly hyperbole.

Dan Cleary is a one legged lame horse - that 2nd goal was all him. That puck needed to be out and that slug had 2 steps on the dman. We dominated that period and came up 0-2 ... it should be a one goal game. When Helmers back lets make a 3rd line of Helm - Nquist - Miller and the 4th line of Abdelkader - Mursak - Holmer. The old balls 45 year old captain on my beer league team skates better than this wreck. Send him to Tampa for a 6th rounder this summer to clear space for Parise.

I agree. The Wings had 17 shots in the second period alone, and many of them were good chances.

FTR Rinne made one good save, Nashville looks lost out there too but they seem to realize how important the next few games are.

I think come playoff time we will be ready...Nick has looked very slow since return. Helm back will be huge. We'll be pumped that is if we don't face Nashville its the only team I really don't wanna face at this point well Sharks too but I think Wings will really bring it cause of last 2 losses to SJ.

Please utilize the speed and creative of Dats and Gus to get better shot selections on net. When at ES. Outside of the power play the 5 shots they did get in that period lol were not high percentage.

I agree with this. I have confidence in this team that they will come back in the third here and make a game out of this.
