Neal tried to take on the entire Flyers team instead of passing to open Pens in the zone. Malkin made sure he f***in knew about it when Neal got to the bench. Very animated. That's why Malkin should be Captain.

Imagine if the second round consists of teams including Florida, Ottawa, St. Louis, Nashville and Phoenix.

Enjoy your parity Gary. I'm glad the Penguins are out as much as anyone, but these non-traditional markets all advancing in a watered-down league isn't entertaining. Hope all those casual fans really enjoy 1-0 slop games that resemble hockey before the lockout.

I honestly wouldn't mind a St.Louis/Ottawa Cup Finals since both cities have a solid fan base.

Fleury hasn't been the same playoff goalie since 2009. Why the hell couldn't he play like this during that series?

If PIT was serious about trying to win, they'd have at least tried Brent Johnson. The same Johnson that propelled the Blues over the Blackhawks back in 2002.

The fact that the Wings had 5/6 top-six forwards injured and both top-pairing defensemen injured probably figured into difficulty scoring on him in that series.

So since the Cup, they barely got past an Ottawa team that was way over matched, then bounced by an 8th seed in 7 games, bounced in the first round the next year by TB and bounced in the first round again by their cross state rival. People keep talking about OUR team declining. This is supposed to be the next "dynasty" and they can't even get out of the first round in the East.
