NJ Wins 4-3

I'm going on a limb and saying Florida in 7.

Really? I think I'm on the other side of the spectrum. Of all the matchups, this one is the only one I see having a remote possibility of a sweep. I say New Jersey in 5.
Can't wait to read the "Phoenix: I still think it's a hockey market" chapter of Gary Bettman's autobiography. I'm guessing it's going to be chapter 11.

Nice threads, like having one for each series

Lets go Cats! They are in tough though, New Jersey finished very strong, Florida is playing with house money though, no pressure, hopefully they can get it done

I'm honestly rooting for Florida in this one. One of the feel good stories of this season.

Devils in 5: they've just looked better to me
Red Kelly #4 and Larry Aurie #6 belong in the rafters!!!

One of my fondest hockey playoff memories is when the Panthers were in the playoffs and the thousands of rubber rats being thrown on the ice after each goal. Sometimes there were 10-15 minute game delays for the cleanup.

In this series, even though all the offseason moves the Panthers made and turned their team around, i'm giving this one to the Devils in 6 games.

I don't dislike either of these teams. I'm going to watch this series and am hoping for some good games.

Jersey in 4. The Panthers are the weakest team in the playoffs. They'll get trounced.

Kovalchuk is my second favorite player outside of Detroit. So i'll be cheering for NJD in the east.

Devils in 7.

Like T-Ruff said... Panthers are playing with house money here.

I was in the building last night when they clinched the division... that was as riled up as I've seen Panthers fans in some time. For a franchise that is typically apathetic at best, I think the players will ride the energy of the fans and their first playoff appearance since 2000... 'Cats in seven.

As much as I wouldn't mind the Panthers winning a round, despite having Kopecky and Campbell, I think NJ is going to be too much for them. Devils in 6.
It's pronounced "Zim" not "Exim". Aw heck with it, just call me Scott.

This is series is such a toss up. Whichever team wins it won't be surprising. I dig the Devils cause I love Brodeur and don't mind the team at all and on the other hand it'd be cool seeing the Panthers move on cause like someone else stated, they are the feel good story of the season. Hmmmm... I'll just guess and say Devils in 6.

Devils in 5. It'd be nice if Florida could win but I think New Jersey takes this one handily.
