What was Smith doing? Also, anyone see that dive by the Phoenix guy behind the net? Foley kept saying they got away with a penalty, but it was one of the worst dives I've seen. I played it in slo-motion, and the guy on the Blackhawk's stick didn't even touch him.

Phoenix is trying their hardest to lose a franchise right now.

Hawks got all the momentum. Would be surprised if Yotes won at this point. Smith is getting peppered like hell.

Edit: Also, do the Coyotes ever have a home game without, like, 1500+ fans from the away team? Maybe I'm ignorant here.

Finally... can go to bed.

There was no penalty called on that play.

And that clip is starting awfully late. Honestly watching it during the game and on the replay, it did look like Shaw yanked his foot. Though the player may have gone down a wee bit dramatically.

Good win for the yotes, but what a dive.

Congrats to the yotes for a win. I still think the hawks are gonna take this series, but for all the crap the yotes go through and getting beat in the first round the last two years by the wings, I think its a good boost for them to feel good about beating the hawks in the first game.

Third year in a row that Jobing.com is half empty for every home game, then the playoffs roll around, and then all of a sudden it's a white out.

You can't show a half video and then say the player dove.

Uncle Gary is doing a great job of promoting his team...for the playoffs.

Smith lunges out and knocks Toews on his butt, and Toews gets called for goaltender interference.

I've watched a lot of the games this first round and in general I have to say this is some of the worst officiating I've seen in a long time.

This league is completely out of control. Smith comes out to play the puck behind the net and Shaw pretty much blind-sides him in right on the chin. Smith was down for a good while; looked serious but he is staying in. Surprised he doesn't have to quiet-room?

If the Coyotes were to lose Smith for the series, no amount of suspension to Shaw would matter.

It was a pretty good lick, but if he is staying in, he probably milked it a bit considering he looked pretty f***ed for a bit.

And magically as soon as the penalty is dished out he has a miraculous recovery and stays in the game.

THe NHL is a freaking joke.
