the texas longhorns wear burnt orange, tennessee vols wear orange and i am still not over the embarrassment that tide gave lsu in bcs game, revenge against the tide is coming nov 3rd in baton rouge

I just assumed he meant Texas. Texas lost to Alabama not too long ago as well, so I feel you there. Would have helped if McCoy could have played more than a few downs though.

Ok...back on topic....

There's just something about the state of Tennessee and having bad uniforms.

That's pretty classy move by the Preds to donate the jerseys, but on the other hand,it's a question of loyalty rather than discounted merchandise ;)

If anything, the most trade ins will probably be from Preds fans that hit ebay up for a dirty used 15 dollar 90's wings jersey and get a super cheap new Predators jersey.

I still think this is a nice promotion though.

If I were going to one of the games in Nashville, I would probably trade in one of my old blanks if I didn't have to settle for the yellow home jersey.

That jersey is seriously hideous. It's not the worst in the league, but its down there for sure.

And I'm not saying this just to be a jerk, but the first time I seen a game with the Preds wearing that s***, it was like staring at the sun.

Awful.

Makes you wonder what color jersey came in 2nd!

Regardless of allegiances, that's a really great promotion.

not really...

you give up a perfectly excellent Wings jersey for some fugly ass preds jersey at only 50% off... no dice! i wouldn't even give up a ratty old sweaty Wings jersey for that garbage uniform.

Roll Tide

Alabama whooped LSU. Just like the Red Wings are gonna whoop the Predators.
Think for yourself. Question authority. Throughout human history as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are or where we are going in this ocean of chance, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open mindedness, chaotic, confused vulnerability to inform yourself.

The Preds jerseys are not gold... Notre Dames helmet and pants are gold.

Mustard yellow on Google images. That is your jersey. No thanks.

Wouldn't even trade in a Kindl for a Weber. Unless that Weber jersey just so happened to be red with a winged wheel on the front

I thought that was stupid until I read the donating to charity part. Now I think that's actually pretty awesome good work Preds.

Too bad no Wings fan will ever concert ever though.

Good idea for playoff opponents, but I don't think it helps that they're divisional rivals. Even if a lot of people live there, you're still talking about a team the Wings play A LOT and which most local Wings fans would only go to see when their own team is in town. Nice idea, but bit unlucky with the whole divisional thing.

Tampa would be a better idea of where it would work, with a lot of Michigan natives living down in Florida, and... you know... the whole Stevie thing. Plus I just like Tampa :) And their new jersey is damn cool....... unlike the Preds one <_<

EDIT: Spelling :(

Cool, nashville is doing us a favor...weeding out dbag losers who we don't want desecrating the sanctity of the winged wheel anyway! There will be plenty of true Wingnut ambassadors down there just like there are everywhere. I did a 13 year tour myself in Phoenix and never once rooted for the 'yotes over the Red Wings. JOE LOUIS WEST baby!

Nashville can have fake-ass pretenders who would flip-flop their allegiance for a mustard-colored novelty! That's great that Nashville is donating the jerseys back to a charity here too! WIN-WIN! They will find themselves back home to the truly loyal where they belong!

The preds might drip mustard but I BLEED RED (and silver if we are lucky!) !!!!

Forever Faithful! LET'S GO RED WINGS!

If I had more than one red wing jersey, I would consider doing it. It's not that I don't like the wings, I just like hockey jerseys. I would still wear a wings jersey to the game.

Agree with livonia. Any wings fan that would hand in their jersey for another teams jersey isn't a fan we want anyways. f*** em. Furthermore its really classy that the jerseys end up in the right spot in the end. I was anticipating that they would be burned outside the bridgestone center lol but was pleasantly surprised when I read they go to charity.

Regardless, I'd rather wear the most trashed up wings jersey 365 days of the year over any other team's pristine jersey for even one day.

Is there a kickstarter campaign for Jakub Kindl to never play another NHL game?
