That would be rather interesting. What would you do if you were the CBJ with the top 2 picks? Do you go for Nail and Galchenuyk since they have chemistry and like playing together? Or do you scoop up Grigorenko? Go after a defenseman? Or is there a quality goalie to be had for trade with one of those picks?

Same here, primarily because when I sit at my computer in my foil hat I just plain don't trust itI feel bad for the Blue Jackets. Sheesh the Oilers. If they can't do something with 3 number picks then they should definitely give it up.
I would actually like to see the picking of the balls rather then the way they do it.
If they really are trying to 'do a Pittsburgh', then I hope they fail and just continue to suck.
EDIT: clarification

Actually I think something along those lines would be in the best interest of both teams.

While I agree that this MIGHT work out for both teams, there is one little hitch: would Rick Nash really waive his no-trade clause to jump from one bottom-feeder to another bottom-feeder with a bit better prospects? Also, if the argument against the Oilers taking Yakupov is that he is a right-winger and they could use more help on defense, goal, or center, why add another right-winger in Rick Nash who is older, has a big cap-hit, and questions about his production ceiling? They would be better off taking Yakupov at an entry-level contract.FIXED!!!!
Can anyone say Nash to EDM for a first rnd pick?
But either way, the chances of Nash waiving his NMC to move out of the frying pan and into a bigger frying pan, is miniscule at best.

"For my game, I don't need to score the goal," Konstantinov once explained. "I need someone to start thinking about me and forgetting about scoring goals."

Or how to KEEP them after their mandatory stay in purgatory.Edmonton seems to have found the secret for "winning" this. Now all that have to do is figure how to keep their picks healthy.
