Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 $2500 fine? Unbelievable. That's not even a slap on the wrist. That's just a stern look of disapproval.

matt198913 932 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 Absolute license to kill for Bert now. I would not be shocked to see Bert do something stupid now.
puckbags 863 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 So because a guy isn't injured it makes it ok to slam his head into the boards? Wtf is wrong with this league, this is exactly the type of garbage they are trying to get out of this league. Lost a lot of respect for Shanny today. 1 roboturner reacted to this
dirtydangles 1,328 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 so unless our player has a concussion he doesn't get suspended? wtf? thats like not getting a speeding fine if u don't kill someone 1 roboturner reacted to this
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 So, let me get this straight... If you say something bad about the Pittsburgh Penguins: $20,000 fine. If you deliberately slam an opposing player's head into the glass: $2,500 fine. Seems legit. 6 roboturner, 55fan, DatsyukDangles and 3 others reacted to this
RedWingsRox 614 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 NHL - Weber fined $2500 What a F*cking joke! Let's all chip in for $2500 to pay the fine so that one of our guys can ram Weber's ass, I mean head into the glass.
rwfan007 18 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 I think somebody is going to learn the meaning of "Kronwalled" tomorrow. This is a disgrace. A deliberate face smash into the glass is not a suspendable act? Weber definitely has a target on his back, and hopefully that will make him a little jumpy next game and throw him off. Danielsm 244 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 (edited) Apparently Tortorella's criticism of the Penguins is 8x worse than hockey players intending to injure their opponents Edit: Thanks for the clarification, I thought it was $10,000 for Torts but that was a guess from a LGW member. Actual fine was $20,000. Edited April 12, 2012 by Danielsm 2 edicius and roboturner reacted to this

atodaso 279 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 A $2500 fine to him is like a $20 fine to the rest of us. That will really teach him a lesson. If they felt that this was not suspension worthy then why not just say that and move on. Issuing this trivial fine is just embarrassing.
Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 Apparently Tortorella's criticism of the Penguins is 4x worse than hockey players intending to injure their opponents 8x worse, actually, based on the dollar amount of the fine. A $2500 fine to him is like a $20 fine to the rest of us. That will really teach him a lesson. If they felt that this was not suspension worthy then why not just say that and move on. Issuing this trivial fine is just embarrassing. Based on his $7.5m salary, that's actually 1/3000th of his yearly salary. At my salary, that would be a fine of $12.33. dirtydangles 1,328 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 i would have rather had no fine. this is basically saying that something wrong happened and the league doesn't have the balls to make it right. 2 Danielsm and LasVegasRocks reacted to this
Nyquistfan14 489 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 A statement needs to be made next game! I don't care if it costs us a 5 it needs to be sent to Weber or any of their big guns. Total BS that he gets away with that. Worst part of it all is we don't even get the PP from the incident because that goon needs to pull sh*t after the game is over.
