How the f*** is this team incapable of staying out of the box?

That's what happens when Bettman tells the refs he wants Nashville to win. They won't call anything on Nashville

detroit should call a timeout here to wake the f*** up, though i guess a TV timeout will do.

I'd mix the lines instantly.

Especially, since the top line hasn't done much in this series.
According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

You gotta be the QB to win the MVP baby! You can't be the punter.

Why is it that the Wings never, ever, ever have more jump in their step than the opposition has? I mean, is it because of the kind of game they play, i.e. puck-possession, where you (ideally) don't do a lot of running around, and so your legs might not be quite as well-conditioned and lively as the opposition's? I'm asking as someone who's played the game. It just really baffles me.

It's an early game, 1st period; I didn't expect anything more than what they've delivered thus far. Our only hope is that they don't dig themselves too deep a hole before the second when they realize there's an actual game going on.
Can't wait to read the "Phoenix: I still think it's a hockey market" chapter of Gary Bettman's autobiography. I'm guessing it's going to be chapter 11.

Someone needs to spark the team

Ericsson should grab Weber and start pounding away.

Lazy as s***, stupid plays. Doesn't bode well. And as much as the refs have been awful all series, the Wings keep doing s*** that they HAVE to call. On top of the ticky-tack, Pred-diving crap that they end up on the ass end of, they have been called with so many high-sticks, clears over the glass, and that interference by Miller.

Pekka Rinne grabs cleary's stick with both hands, holds it for thirty seconds - no penalty

Miller tries to stop before an inevitable collision with Rinne - two minute goalie interference

I hope they don't think they are going to win just because we are at home. They better start putting in the work.

Staying out of the box was key to this game. The stupid play by Miller puts Detroit down early, in their own home. It's really s***ty playing from behind 5 minutes into the game.

something has to be done about our D.

Carelessly fling the puck up the wall with nothing on it. BLind passes, terrible job of protecting the puck along the wall.

Nyquist needs more minutes, he is the only one I've noticed in a good way so far.
