Don't spend three dollars to dry clean a shirt. Donate it to Goodwill instead. They'll clean it and put it on a hangar. Next morning buy it back for seventy-five cents. (OK, maybe a dollar.)

"He even ate with women who at that time were accorded the same status as the family donkey. Are we willing to break bread with, say, child sex slaves, transgender teens and undocumented workers? Because when Jesus comes back to Earth, that's where he'll be hanging."
You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.

The puckluck is due to go back our way. Or at least not be so horribly against us.

"During Robert Lang’s time in Detroit, he caused me anguish. Other times he brought me and my family great joy. Robert Lang occasionally coasts, and spends time searching for the best pane of glass to best view the reflection of his flowing mullet. Other times he is a strong-armed force with the puck. I never knew what to expect from Robert Lang. He is The Enigma. " - A2Y

Aww, poor Helm...

If it weren't for electricity we'd all be watching television by candelight.

More definitions:

FLATULENCE (n.) - The emergency vehicle that picks you up after you've been run over by a steamroller.

BALDERDASH (n.) - A rapidly receding hairline.

******** (n.) - a humorous question on a quiz.

If they don't win tomorrow, I will have to have the same conversation I have with myself every year. It's just a game, that I have no control over, and it shouldn't matter in the day to day of my life. Of course I know that's BS, it's all my fault when they lose, but denial is part of the process.

Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.

I'm feeling a win, even though I won't get to see it.
Check out my short e-book on the Red Wings' 1937 Stanley Cup championship entitled: "Nothing Could Keep 'Em Down." Please download it from my profile at Smashwords: https://www.smashwor...ile/view/victor

New e-book: The Spanish-American War: A Brief History. Relatively short, introductory read for casual history buffs and people who want to learn more about a forgotten war that changed America. Available at BN.com, Smashwords, Kobo, and Diesel E-Books right now. Same link as above.
