Dear Detroit RedWings. Do not let this happen again tonight.

Thankyou for your time.

"If I can be totally honest, it's not a lot of guys you get impressed by. Actually, it's no one else but him. From the bench, to see what move he makes -- you're like, 'I wish I could do that.' Sometimes you sit on the bench and just think, 'wow,' and you look over to the other bench and they sit there and shake their heads, too. He has great, great skills. I'm probably not going to play with another player who has the kind of skills he has." Mikael Samuelsson on Pavel Datsyuk

that picture makes me want to cry.

It's going to be a long summer if someone doesn't show up tonight, but if they don't it's what they deserve. We, however, deserve better. I blame the stupid Mule/Ram commercials, which have ceased to be amusing to me. <_< Get the Hell out of the sin bin and do your job! I know you get paid the same either way, but leave the wife and kid at home, and go to work.

Now.

Go, Wings... you can do this!!

I was talking to my mama on the phone last night. The conversation went something like this:

Mom: Should we be worried?
Me: Did you see the last game?
Mom: Yes.
Me: Were they shooting the puck?
Mom: Yes.
Me: Well, if they weren't shooting, I wouldn't worry because that means they can start trying. If they're shooting, that means the puck isn't getting past Rinne.
Mom: They're shooting. Are you worried.
Me: If they're shooting, I'm worried.
Mom: Oh, then I'm worried.

Dear Red Wings,
My Mama is worried. Please don't make her sad. Please score lots of goals more than Nashville does and win the game.
Love, Karen

Time for the reverse mojo from me. Usually I'm super positive but not tonight. I hope we lose by 11 goals and it's Lidstroms last game. Bunch of losers..we need more grit..these euro figure skaters have never done anything..this franchise needs to rebuild..trade Dats, Z and anyone else that is good !!! Hope this works.

Please, please win tonight so I don't have to beat up some canuck fans at work this weekend. Get in tight and get dirty boys, this is it. If they show up and work their asses off I'll at least be happy that we did everything possible to beat a goalie that is playing great.

Hopping a plane to go down there in 30 minutes. They've never lost a game in Nashville that I've been at. Hoping to continue that tradition. 60 minutes of hard nosed hockey with no one taking a shift off. Let's bring it back here for game 6. LGRW...

Great job on the GDT, Mike. +1000 for the John Blutarsky.

Red Wings 1, Preds 0. Wings outshoot Preds 91-12.

If the Preds get 12 shots, then they are guaranteed a goal.

Hopefully Lidstroms last game is not in Trashville. At least bring it home.

Dear Wings,

I'll be watching you with the GF. I haven't seen her in weeks (long-distance relationship. It sucks. You understand this, I'm sure.) Point being...I don't want angry sex tonight.

kthx

Win for Nick. Win for Helm. Win for Stuart. I don't care what the motivator is but just please win and keep the season alive. Take the first period with a lead and go from there.

After Game 4, I thought Nashville would end it tonight. Maybe I'm in denial, but after a couple days away I'm feeling good about the Red Wings chances in Game 5. There's
too much pride and ability in that locker room to just quit.

Regardless of what happens, I will be proud to be a fan of this team. Though I would love to cheer them on again this Sunday at the Joe especially.

Let's Go Red Wings!

This is the first time i've posted in a GDT PLAYOFF thread since the game 7 loss in 09.

I think it is time for my return.
