Win for Nick. Win for Helm. Win for Stuart. I don't care what the motivator is but just please win and keep the season alive. Take the first period with a lead and go from there.

After Game 4, I thought Nashville would end it tonight. Maybe I'm in denial, but after a couple days away I'm feeling good about the Red Wings chances in Game 5. There's
too much pride and ability in that locker room to just quit.

Regardless of what happens, I will be proud to be a fan of this team. Though I would love to cheer them on again this Sunday at the Joe especially.

Posting from the PA music educators' conference and all-state music festival. I'm going to be watching the game from my hotel tonight and probably getting a noise complaint. If my student can get first chair in the state on Bass II in the choir, then our boys can rectify the series defecit and blow into the second round with momentum on their side.

The wings have had a 3+ win streak 6 times this season.

In the playoffs in 08, they had a 9 game winning streak and who did it begin with? NASHVILLE!

They aren't out of this series but they need to figure out how to beat rinne early and keep shooting the puck

Good rule of thumb is always take an octopus everywhere. Better to have one and not need it than find yourself thinking, "Damn, I wish I had that octopus".

I can imagine the backlash if a Red Wing had purposely grabbed an opponent's head and smashed it into the glass - and in effect skated away laughing. Funny joke, now the Preds think they are right and clever.

Actually I can't imagine this, since no Red Wing would do such a thing. But it's all hypothetical, I guess... wrong is wrong.

I am sacrificing my strict diet to help the Wings. I always munch these during playoff games, and to date, have not indulged.

If they can get more than just Homer camped out, I see NO PROBLEM. REBOUNDS guys, REBOUNDS!!! On a side note, I read a little something today regarding the Wings maybe getting Rick Nash this summer. It seems that every former Blue Jacket that is in the p[ayoffs is in a highlight or 10. Raffi Torres (******), Anton Sralman, Jason Chimera, Jakub Voracek, etc. Maybe they do actually draft and sign well, it's just the organization that prevents great performance. They also had (albeit late in their careers) Fedorov and Foote.
