lookalive07 251 Report post Posted April 28, 2012 Since LGW is likely to be pretty slow until the end of June, I figured I'd throw together a little idea I had for what I thought our WC jerseys could look like. A couple pieces of history here and there (inverted logo, Detroit Cougars "D" on the shoulder), as well as a little deeper red trim for a vintage-ish look. Anyway, let me know what you think. Also the White could be a bit more ivory like the Rangers uni was last year. In a way I agree, our uni is more or less original as it is and is IMO one of the best unis in the league. Good design is hard to improve on and the longetivity of ours is testament to that. On the other hand, The Classic is a time to have fun and tip your hat to the golden days of Hockey. Its the same reason rockabilly guys and girls dress like they are out of the 50s. They dont dress it exactly but its more or less a modern interpretation of the past. Watching the Caps, Pit and Philly play was like watching them in their regulars. They are so new that the teams havent had that much time to really do any facelifts on the logos. That was a bit boring. I hope the sweaters include all of the classic and important design aspects of the team over the decades and I think these renderings are a very good interpretation of what that could be. Just enough change to appease the NHL while sticking to our tradition of not messing with what works. Love it.
