Gotcha....and my comment was due to the CBA expiring causing that number to likely not happen.Reports indicate that the cap will increase to anywwhere between 68 and 72 million dollars so that is why he used the 70 million dollar mark.

If you're playing along, can I ask why you're giving yourself a $70 million cap? I highly doubt it will jump by almost $6 million next year. Maybe a Mil or two.
Reports indicate that the cap will increase to anywwhere between 68 and 72 million dollars so that is why he used the 70 million dollar mark.
Bob McKenzie also noted that GMs will most likely be able to work under the guise of a $70.3M and that regardless of how a new CBA shakes out will not be penalized for working with that cap. To me, that indicates that if the players % of Revenue drops from the current 57% that all current player contracts would probably take a roll back. So even if the final cap number next season doesnt turn out to be $70.3M, you can look at the current state of affairs and market values of players to determine signings and then anticipate a roll back of all future salaries.
Why, on a team that lacks RD, would you place the two natural RDs together and put two natural LDs (Kronwall and Suter) together?DEFENSEMEN

i didn't realize that 10% of our cap space suddenly becoming available was unworthy of an off-season discussion. very sorry for pointing a gun to your heads and making you read it!!

With all the space we have, we can do better than that.
Especially if they trade Francine for someone that gives a s***.

Just as most readers here don't want to read posts where people complain about thread topics or ***** and moan, they probably don't want to read posts where people bemoan the complainers.

Anyways this is my ideal lineup and very realistic I think. Very well balanced team that has everything you need to win:

perhaps because people have been speculating that this might happen for weeks and have talked about it in ten other threads, most of which still exist. So rather than create another thread which does the exact same thing as the one you created last week you could just go to the one you created last week and say "this just in, Lidstrom retires, now we can get Suter, Parise, AND Matt Carle (or whoever you want)", and then continue with the discussion which was relevant in the first place.
If Stuart decides to officially go someplace else and says so in the Free Press are you going to start another thread called Post-Stuart CapGeek Thread, or would this one suffice?
