I honestly think the "Monster" would be an excellent back-up for the Wings and he would feel right at home with all the Swedes.

Detroit's already had one player collapse during a game due to heart problems. No need for a second.

Karlsson's $6.5-million cap hit ties him as sixth highest paid d-man in league, behind only Campbell, Doughty, Chara, Bouwmeester and Boyle

I don't think Campbell and Bouwmeester should have cap hits like that. Both are overrated in my opinion. I wonder what Suter will get, and for that matter Weber?!

Love this signing. If we could sign Suter for the same money I'd be a very happy man

I know July 1st isn't here yet, but I am just going to prepare myself for Holland not doing anything...That way I won't blow a gasket...

Please Holland.....Schultz/Suter/Parise/Dekeyser/Welsh....No Hudler, No Quincey... AT LEAST if you sign Quincey, let it be $3.5M or less....

I am hopeful.....just not getting too excited...

If You Need Roster Help or Predictions, Don't Hesitate To Ask!

I'd settle for Semin instead of Parise IF that meant we signed some players like Prust/Gaustad/Prust

To the similar cap hit post: I'm pretty sure campbells contract has something to do with Florida reaching the cap floor.

Semin is a risk given his history, but hopefully Pasha would be able to mentor him.

Actually it has more to do with Tallon giving out a stupid big contract to Campbell when he was the Blackhawks GM.

not sure how much truth there is to this but i saw this on twitter

Hockey Break@HockeyBreak
Confirmed - Flyers on Nash's list. Certainly not a done deal but JvR, Read, Bobvrosky & a 1st round pick being discussed in potential deal.

The truth is that it should be posted in the rumors forum ;)

Wasn't there another team that wanted JVR and the Flyers flatout said no?

I'm pretty sure the Sharks were interested in him around deadline time.

From http://www.sportsnet...ch_maple_leafs/

The Columbus Blue Jackets added longtime Toronto Maple Leafs assistant coach Keith Acton to their coaching staff on Wednesday.

The move comes on the same day that Craig Hartsburg was named associate coach of the Blue Jackets.
